Dr. Mohanty specializes in cardiac electrophysiology. He is involved in the comprehensive care of heart rhythm disorders, including complex arrhythmias such as Atrial fibrillation (AFib) and ventricular tachycardia, and complex device management, including the implantation and extraction of pacemakers and defibrillators. He is among the first and most experienced electrophysiologists in the greater Richmond area to implant leadless pacemakers, which are the smallest available pacemakers. He is also one of the most experienced electrophysiologists in the area with Cryoballoon therapy to treat atrial fibrillation.
