If I could give them a minus rating, I would. Twice in one year my dog came home with FLEAS. When I picked him up the last time, he was shaking and scared. For hours after I brought him home he stayed HIDDEN and not really social for several days. I WILL NEVER TAKE MY DOG HERE EVER AGAIN.!!!

Are they Wags and Wiggles? Yuppy Puppy? I rc'd a call over a year ago claiming Wags and Wiggles wanted my business from Yuppy Puppy because they were not treating the animals well. Moved to Wags and Wiggle and was very satisfied all but once. Today I had an appt, @ Wags and Wiggles guess what?! Closed! no call. Decided to stop by Yuppie Puppy and low and behold there are who I guess were the owners of Wags and Wiggles. He gave me some story about merging the 2 together. I requested my 2 pugs to be shaved,bathed etc. I pick them only to find out they just got a bath! When I complained the woman's attitude was an oh well that's not what I was told. I did get an I'm sorry in "Too Bad" tone. I will not be returning. These people are deceptive and just plain rude.

We all love our pets..the owner smokes inside the shop,she will beat and throw your pet across the room scream at the dogs shut the f@ck up all day,they dont get walked,they don`t eat and after she beats your little puppy all day she smiles at you and says they were good.DIRTY go take a look around and you`ll see for your self. And the same gos for over night boarding when the shop closes, they are all alone until 9am the next morning,and then get yelled at for dirtying the floor. Go find another place that really cares,all this place cares about is money. NEVER AGAIN

In all fairness, this is normally a very good business and the care and dedication is evident in their work. HOWEVER, this review is about business practices:Store hours posted on the door: 9AM - 6PM M-F. On Friday I head over there to pay for, and retrieve the family dog from a few days of being boarded. At 5:15PM I call (45 minutes prior to "close") to let someone know that I'll be there as arranged. No one answers, but they're still open for another 45 minutes, I say to myself. Arriving at 5:40PM (20 minutes prior to "close") I walk up to the front door, all the lights are out, door is locked, other dogs are running around inside, no one to be found. After returning from my 45 minute pointless round trip in rush hour traffic I'm absolutely fuming. IF YOU'RE GOING TO POST STORE HOURS, THEN BE THERE, DAMMIT! I don't waste your time, please don't waste mine!

I took my bichone to the Yuppy Puppy for the first and last time. He was there for 8 hours and when I picked him up he did not even look like he had been groomed. There is a chance he had some kind of a bath???? That evening and the next day he had diarreah and had to be put on antibiotics. I did red the reviews before I took him, they were 50% good and 50% poor, well I am adding one to the POOR review.

I took my 9 lb. dog here for a grooming. Filled out their information card - wrote across the "Notes" section of the card "Do not cut ears" - you guessed it - he came back with four inches cut off the ears - and crooked to boot. He looks terrible. Very unprofessional. I was told by a woman who identified herself as the groomer that the owner did it - but apparently he was no where to be found. Never again.

I took my beagle once to this place and I was very disappointed. They charged me a lot and I don't think they even bothered to give her a bath, maybe they used the wipes-that's all. I had better experience and cheaper in other places like pet smart. I'll never go back there or recommended to anybody. Sorry.

We took our dog here for grooming they did an excellent job. Disregard the comments below, I find that hard to believe. Would go back again with no worries

I am a former employee of the Yuppy Puppy. I started with them when Mary and Skip were just beginning their career. I left for financial reasons but left with the highest regards for the Yuppy Puppy and their standards of care. Skip feeds the dogs the highest quality food and goes so far as to serve them natural spring water. He could save a lot of money if he stopped this practice but he cares for all the dogs that come into his shop like his own.I was in his shop just three weeks ago and learned that his least experienced groomer had seventeen years of experience.I am still working as a groomer a competitor actually but felt the need to express my opinion on Pepe's review. NO groomer even an inexperienced person would groom like that. I have found that the customer will describe the cut they want when in fact it is totally contrary then they turn on the groomer with anger and a vengeance that is not warranted. Many pull this stunt to avoid the bill and prolong the next groom

Be very afraid, these people are butchers. The took a small 5 lb. well behaved poodle and literally 'shaved' him from tail to nose. even his little eyelashes were 'shaved' off. he was shaking and so scared when we picked him up. The owner was so rude and uncaring, i don't think they even like animals. My poor dog was traumatized by this place. Be very afraid, my neighbor had taken their dog their also, and had a horrific experience, their dog is still 'limping' since he was supposedly groomed by these unprofessional people. Be very afraid!!!

I am so embarassed for them. The place is a mess. Selection is sparse. Always out of stock on basic stuff. Groomer has a bad attitude. OK, yes it's so clever and wonderful to let a bunch of dogs run in a pen together ( they do not know each other ) while they are waiting for grooming UNTIL your dog gets bit in the face!!! Sorry, I want some protection for my dog!!! Oh ya, you pay the vet bill on that one!! Also sells puppies from the owners backyard...nice little puppy mill they got going! YUCK!

I have used the Y-P twice. First time when we picked up our maltese from the seller. He was already scared (being an older dog) but we took him for grooming. They were so kind to him and did everything possible to keep him calm and happy. The dog I picked up later was just that. I then used the Y-P to board my maltese for a week. He was so happy there. He is still a little apprehensive of strangers and situations but he had a blast staying with them. I called to check on him during the week and I was assured he was fine. He is back home now and I do believe that he had such a good time playing with the other dogs that he is kind of "homesick" for the new playmates he met there. I cannot recommend this place enough. It has always been clean when I stopped in. The ower/employees care greatly for those in their charge whether for a few hours, a day or long term boarding. Great place!

I am a snowbird who visits Florida on a Regular basis and I am so happy to have found such an amazing place such as Yuppy Puppy. This establishment and their staff offers a clean loving environment for your pets. Skip and his staff do everything to make you feel like an extended part of their family every time you walk thru the door. They do not put the animals in crates or kennels they are free to run around and play with other dogs. They are brought outside and also have a bit of playtime there.I have never had any problems or concerns during any of my visits infact they encourage you to speak to the owner if you do infact have any .Yuppy Puppy Goes above and beyond and also rescues many dogs and finds them all loving homes. We had our Japanese Chin there to be groomed and found the place to be very clean and well attended.We were given a tour,and were pleased to find that it is a cageless kennel.The groomer was friendly and Jo-Jo enjoyed the experience.Not only did they groom her,but also trimmed her nails and checked and cleaned her ears.When we picked her up,she seemed very happy and the grooming was excellant.We are pleased with the service and would not hesitate to recommend Yuppy Puppy to any of our friends. I took my Malte-Pom today to the Yuppy Puppy. I wanted a place that does not cage the pets. I was pleasantly suprised at how nice the place was and how wonderful my dog and I were treated. Cody, my dog needs to work on his social skills and I consider it, like day school which is an extra benefit that is free. He looks terrific and smells wonderful. Thank you Yuppy Puppy for an exellant job. And helping Cody get socialized.I don't understand the negative comments other than they had to have gone to another place and confused it with the Yuppy Puppy.

my dog loves it there!!! i would never bring him any place else!!! my dog loves the owner and the rest of the staff too..! my dog has NEVER gottin sick form there.. i love bring my dog there. he has fun and gets to play with other dogs. i like that they DO NOT cage my best friend. you can tell that they keep the dog play area very clean and the store too. if there is an accident they clean it up right away.. i have seen them do it my self. so as far as someone writing that there is poop and pee very where.. they have never been there...

My wife and I have been taking our three Yorkshires to the Yuppy Puppy for two years and not once have we been disappointed. Skip the owner has boarded our dogs on numerous occasions and while in his care he would take time to photograph our babies and e/mail the pictures with an update of heir activities and well being. Someone has posted comments of poop and urine everywhere, I never saw anything of the sort. They do not cage animals there so certainly there are going to be accidents, but it appears to me it is cleaned and sanitized as soon as found. A good test for that assumption is to go into there shop and do a sniff test. The lady that complained about her Cocker being caged due to stress, well that simply proves that the Yuppy puppy places the animals well being above all else. I took my dog to be groomed and it was horrible. The groomer the selection, pee and poop everywhere and my dog got sick from all the other dogs!

I took my cocker spaniel in for grooming and they said 3 hours, over 5 hours later I call and they tell me that she was nervous so they had to keep putting her back in the cage. No wonder she was scared, they kept caging her. After all of the that, the cut was awful and they cut her twice! Never again!
