dont trust them at all. They have been offering free roof condition certification forms for insurance to determine the age and remaining life of the roof. Insurance companies require at least 3 years of remaining useful life. Alan's Roofing has been filling out every single roof condition certification form with approximately 3 years remaining useful life. That will allow the customer to have 1 year of insurance but be non renewed by the insurance company and then Alan's Roofing tells the customer the roof needs to be repalced, even if it is new. They told one of my clients who had the roof replaced in 2004 with 30 years shingles that there was only 3 years remaining useful life in 2011. 30 year shingles that were installed 7 years before the inspection should be 20-23 years remaining life. They told my client there was approximately 3 years. They are scam artist and should have their license revoked.
Alan's Roofing is a great company. I have nothing but positive things to say about this company. From the minute the salesman showed up at my house I was impressed with how professional he was. The salesman looked like a clean-cut professional (not a "typical" roofer) and was very intelligent and knowledgable. The installers were also very polite and worked very hard to keep my yard and driveway clean. From customer service, to product, to workmanship, I was totally impressed!
