Provided by YPmobileThe food was delicious and fresh. Hostess was very polite, accommodating and knowledgeable about the menu items which made it so much easier to pick my meal. Saw this place coming out of jury duty for lunch and thought I'd give it a try. Sure glad I did! I ordered the fried chicken wings, mac n cheese and spanish rice with a side of corn bread and a Pepsi. The place could've been a little more tidy but it was the middle of lunch hour so I wasn't going to complain. Hostess brought my food out and shortly after I was caught indulging in the fried chicken by the chef as she walked by my table. She greeted all the regulars and walked back by my table asking how was everything. My mouth was full of chicken and mac so all I could do was give a thumbs up. I was full off 2 wings and the sides. Once the hostess saw me struggling with the rest of my food she offered to grab me a to go container and bag. Lunch was under $10 and well worth it! Highly recommended spot for lunch if you're in the Downtown area of Bridgeport. Been thinking about those wings drenched in hot sauce ever since I had them 😋

I finally had the opportunity to eat at Miss Thelma last night. A group of us girls went there for the dinner buffet to celebrate my birthday. I was very disappointed. The buffet items listed on their website was nonexistent (ham, mashed potatoes, roasted potatoes, bananna pudding, etc). In addition, the items that were featured were mediocre. The chopped BBQ was a disaster. I did enjoy the Mac n Cheese and corn muffins. The photos of the restaurant looked nothing like the actual restaurant. The young lady operating the cash register was very polite. The restaurant was very affordable but I rather spend more money on quality soul food and leave happy and satisfied.

GREAT FOOD!! You must try the Beef Ribs, Fried Fish, Mac & Cheese, Spanish rice, and their Cheescake, or just try everything! Go on a Sunday there is an all day buffet!! It's a nice little restaurant perfect for an intimate dinner or a small social gathering. The food is so delicious you won't regret spending the money.
