Founded in 1997, Community Catalyst is a national nonprofit advocacy organization that offers policy analysis and technical assistance services. Located in Boston, the organization employs policy analysts, attorneys, community organizers and communications specialists who provide health care reform solutions to its clients. It also manages national campaigns that involve several organizations. Community Catalyst provides leadership and support services to state and local consumer organizations, policymakers and foundations working to change health care systems. The company works with a coalition of over 130 consumer advocacy organizations, labor unions and nonprofit health plan providers to ensure that consumers who have been overcharged get reimbursed.
