If I could give no stars I would!!! On the 27th of June I went in to Red Stiletto Hair Salon for a root touch up. I had been in the process of growing my hair out for some time. What should have been a simple highlight turned into terrible bleeds and striping. I contacted the stylist right away about my problems, and didn't hear back for 4 days, so I called the salon and told the owner what was going on. She said she would take care of it, and to come in right away for a consult. Upon arriving, she looked at my hair, and told me that unfortunately she wouldn't be able to fix my hair unless I paid her money because the $85 I had already spend went to the stylist, and they are their own bosses. She knew I couldn't get a hold of her, and I told her it made me really concerned getting my hair fixed considering what she had done to it in the first place. She told me again that in order to fix it, I would have to pay. I declined and let her know that as a business owner myself, I wouldn't have stylist in her salon that make the salon look bad, because it is a reflection on the whole business. She let me know that it had never happened before, and I told her "but it's happening now, and you're not willing to do anything about it. The only thing I can do at this point is take my business elsewhere, and let my friends and clients on facebook know what happened so they don't come here either." Up to this point this conversation was not escalated. There was no yelling, it was civil. I don't know if I hit a nerve when I said that last part or what, but this is how the Owner responded: "IT'S PEOPLE LIKE YOU THAT PUT BUSINESSES LIKE US OUT OF BUSINESS!!!! GET THE F#@% OUT OF MY SALON!!!!" I was in shock. I said nothing, turned around and started walking out. Suddenly she was grabbing my arm forcefully and physically PUSHING me out of the establishment. I froze and said very slowly " Take. your. hands. off. of. me. " She didn't and continued to force me out the door. Once I was out, I was shaking, and in shock. She literally assaulted me because I threatened her with a bad review??!!! CRAZY!!!!! I was then offered a refund by text a bit later from the stylist that miraculously messaged me back after four days asking that I don't "take it out on the salon" (or basically press charges) I decided that if I got my money back, fine, I wouldn't...

BUT...it's been a month and a half or so, and NOTHING....not one dime...and unfortunately, the story goes on. I went to another salon to have my hair fixed. She told me that the condition of my hair was pretty bad. When the previous stylist did my roots, she had folded the ends into the foil, so they were pretty fried. She didn't want to put more bleach on it in fear of damaging my hair more, so she did a lightener. It made my blondes platinum. and the dark an extreme gold. She then tried a toner....nothing. She said she'd do an extreme ash darker blonde to hopefully get the gold out....turned my hair green. It was this point she told me the only thing we could do was go dark. I cried. Blonde is my happy place. But alas...we went dark. It had been a four hour process, and she didnt have time to cut. She put a deep conditioning treatment on, and I went home to wash it out. When I was washing it out, my hair was breaking off all over the place. It was covering my hands. I was mortified. When I put a brush through it once, it filled the entire brush....I knew I had to chop it off...So that's what we did.

It has been a process getting my hair to a point to where I could even like it. I've struggled with my identity, and as silly as that sounds...it's true. It will take me years to get my hair to the length it was before I went in to get a simple root touch up.YEARS. Needless to say I'm devastated. With the help of several stylists I am finally blonde again, and I can deal a little better with the incredibly short hair...as for the original salon...they made their choice, and now I will make mine...

answers with attitude

I don't know it's because I'm younger or just ask a lot of questions. But every question I've asked I've got an attitude with the answer back. Just one girl. Everyone else seems nice but I've never been to a salon where questions seemed to be a burden and got such a snap back with the answer.
