Ada City-County Emergency Management ( ACCEM ), previously known as Civil Defense, is a local government agency responsible for disaster preparedness. ACCEM represents Ada County, Ada County Highway District, Boise, Eagle, Garden City, Kuna, Meridian and Star. We are a division of Ada County, Idaho, and work closely with other local, state, and federal agencies to help our community mitigate, prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters and emergencies ( see Emergency Management Phases on the left ). This site contains information on a variety of emergency management topics. Doug Hardman is the ACCEM Director. We are located in the Vernon L. Bisterfeldt Public Safety Building at 7200 Barrister Drive in Boise. Our normal business hours are 8am 5pm, Monday through Friday.
