Never do any business with blue springs marine. They kept my boat for months three 3k worth of parts at it and then blew up my 150 optimax.

The following story happened inside a 30 day window.

I am giving Blue Springs Marine one star solely because no stars isn't an option. I had blue springs marine do a boat inspection ($150) on the boat I own prior to buying it. They told me the boat was in great condition and nothing was wrong. Since that day, they have done a spring tune up ($400), Had them recharge my batteries because they left them on ($free)bought two new batteries ($215) because they failed to inform me during the inspection that my batteries were 10 years old and they could not hold a charge anymore, replaced the throttle and control ($700) because the fast idle didn't work, rebuilt the carburetor ($175) because it wasn't working properly, and I have yet to have a successful trip on the water.

Quick recap... The first time I took the boat out it wouldn't start because they left the battery switch on. The second time it died on the water and I had to buy new batteries, replace the console, and rebuild the carburetor. The third time it ran ok Friday and was dead by Sunday because there was still something drawing power even after turning off the battery switch. Also they only hooked up one of the batteries they sold me stating, "that's how it was brought in". Just to be clear, if you take them a broken boat, they will give it back to you just as you brought it in... broken.

If you feel the need to throw away $2000 and have your blood pressure rise to extremely high levels, please visit blue springs marine
