La Zingara is a provincial Italian-style restaurant that does not serve "Italian American" food such as spaghetti and meatballs. Its objective is to offer real Italian food, including fresh pasta dishes, soups, salads, fish, steaks, chops and stews, served with select wines and beers. A cliche among patrons has been since the restaurant opened in 2003, "I just had the best meal of my life." As a regular diner, I laugh when I hear that again and again, because I know it's true. The menu changes with the season with an emphasis on the best available ingredients, including locally grown vegetables in the warmer months. Patrons can eat at the full service bar or more formally at tables in the dining room. A room may be reserved for parties with family-style dining. For more informal family dining, the restaurant offers the "Ecco." a sister roof top division, that offers pizza and other food cooked in an Italian-style wood-fired brick oven along with beer on tap, wine and other drinks form a full-service bar..
