In my personal experience, I would not recommend this counselor. I expected an objective 3rd party to help us to find a way to get through some marital issues that began from my husband's extra-marital affair using biblical principles. My husband has a problem controlling his anger and often cannot have a discussion without yelling and lashing out. When this happened in a session I thought to myself that I was glad it happened so Mr. Bartley could see what part of my issues were and how it is difficult to work through issues with someone who cannot communicate without yelling. His repsonse when my husband finished his tyrade was "you deserved that toung lashing". That was the last time I laid foot in that office. Whether or not he agreed or disagreed with my husband's comments or perspective, no one deserves a toung lashing. And especially coming from a Christian standpoint, I do not believe Jesus Christ would've condoned him approving of my husband's outrage.
