Great shop, very knowledgeable. Yeah, can be a little straightforward, and if you are stupid, it doesn't help things. Good shop, good deals. Very helpful staff. Helped me out too many times now. Don't believe the reviews of stupid people, I know shops and this one is legit.

Kept insisting that I did not know if my own car was front wheel drive or not, so they would need to check for themselves. It's a mazda 3, they only come in FWD dumbass. Will not be going back.

Ripped my girlfriend off.

Claimed her bent wheels punctured the tire when she only needed new wheels.

She said she was going to shop around they told her that they already started.

Wouldn't let her see the punctured tires (they were already thrown away).

They also charged her way more than other places would.

This place is shady and pushy. They take advantage of people.

This place is joke! First, I dropped my truck off and Mike called me back to eventually say that I had to come back and get the lug nut "key" out of the glove box because even with my permission, they didn't want to go through my stuff. Stupid. Then, they told me they didn't want to GET THE SCREW out of my tire because I didn't have tire monitoring chips in my tires and they didn't want to mess with the liability. I took it to Johnson's Tire Service and they first laughed, then fixed my tire no problem. Anyone I tell has said they've never heard of anything like that. Save your time and money and go ANYWHERE but Alaska Tire and Rim.

I needed some studded tires for my civc, i was in and out of there, really happy and price was just right...will definitely go back there.

Never trust a business with a big sign on the wall stating "All sales final, no refunds". I bought a set of used tires for my all wheel drive vehicle and they told me the set had 9/32nds if tread left on them. Well after the set was put on I realized one of the tires was only 4/32nds. This variation in tread would have ruined my all wheel drive, besides having one practically bald tire would makes the set of no value as nobody in Anchorage will put just one tire on a four wheel drive vehicle as it will ruin the four wheel drive. Admittedly, I was stupid for not checking out all four tires before I has them put on. However, bringing out only one tire and telling me the set had 9/32nds if tread was deceptive. It took me two hours of arguing with them and threatening to do a stop payment on my credit card for them to refund my money. Cheaters and liars! Never will I do business with them again.

Awesome service, great prices and very honest staff

A great shop! On all of several occasions owner and staff found to be well experienced, friendly and helpful. I brought special valve stems and they didn't get them quite right and tight the first time, but they very quickly refined things when I returned. I fully agree with all the other 5 star reviews to date.

I was looking for a set of tires for my truck, I found a decent set of 4 with a spare for a good price and the owner of the shop was very helpful and nice. I would recommend this shop to anyone who needs tires/repair etc.

The best service I've found in town for changing tires. Reasonable prices, Alaska owned and operated and you won't wait 4 hours to have your tires changed. they have helped out with other car issues at a fair price too. A business worth supporting.
