Called many companies, none would answer so late at night and the ones that did were not willing to help. These people got me and my family safely off the road and were to me quickly. Great bunch of people

Had a flat saturday on way home from shoprite. Troopers called this company and they came to change it for me.The owner himself was working and he was the greatest and politest man! Don"t find to many business people friendly and sociable like he was. Thankyou so much for your help. Price to me was worth it, would have never got the spare out and put on. All this new stuff to just get a spare tire off is stupid! WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE



I was heading to Albany airport at 5 o'clock on a Friday and my car broke down on the Thruway. I called Capital City, they answered on the second ring, told me they were a half hour away but would get to me as soon as they could. The gentleman on the phone re- assured me they would get my vehicle to their shop and even gave me some nearby taxi's to call so I could get to the airport on time. While I was waiting for my flight, they called me to let me know they had my car and everything was taken care of. They held my car for me while I was gone and worked diligently with local towing companies to be sure I got my car back home at a fair price. The level of customer service was above and beyond, the experience was one I won't forget and it was refreshing to find out there are still good people and companies with morals in the area where my family lives. If you are ever in need of a tow in the Albany area, call Capital City.

Armory garage used this company to take my car in after my fender bender in the at storm and just what I needed my gps was in there when they picked it up and when I stopped by Armory with my rental shortly after it was dropped off my gps was gone. Thanks for that. Called and was told "well you should have taken it out" are you kidding me!

Can someone explain to me why when Osborne Street towed me it was 100 for my 98 Honda Civic, but when these scammers towed me it was 125. I don't understand how the CITY Rate changed by 25 dollars simply because another company towed me a few weeks later. Yeah they were all polite but told me that there was nothing they could do, the city sets the rate. I called Osborne and they told me they charged me he truck rate! Ridiculous. Going to find out who I have to all at the police to get to the bottom of this. 25 dollars is 25 dollars damn it.

Matt, thank you for all that you did you have no idea how much we appreciate your help. To everyone reading this our car was hit in the middle of the night and when we were put through to these guys matt answered the phone and was far more polite and understanding and professional then the police who didn't even tell us what happened to our car. We had never gone through anything like this before and he told us exactly what we needed to do great group of people.

Today my son got into a small car accident and after his car wouldn't turn to the left. I called Capital District Towing and Dobie came to tow the car to Firestone and he was awesome. Dobie made this situation a pleasant one. He talked to my 18 year old son like he was a adult and showed him respect. Explained the things he was doing to his car and showed he cared. Then to top it off Dobie didn’t just deliver the car to Firestone he went above and beyond. Dobie got 2 Managers to come outside and look at the car, showed them the problem area and had them clean out a bay and dropped the car off in the bay. This is the first time I ever had to have a car towed and I hope it's my last. But if I ever need a car towed I will call Capital District Towing.

Not only did Dobie go above and beyond I was impressed to see the tow truck show up within 15 minutes of my phone call.

I called about my car's dead battery. They were very easy to deal with on the phone & asked for all the information upfront. They said they'd send someone out within an hour, and 45 minutes later my car was being jump started. Paid with a credit card, got a receipt on my phone. Would've been happy with just that, but then I went to the grocery store and the battery was still flaking out, so I called back. They sent someone over within five minutes, jumped the car for free, and I took it right to a shop.

I'm a St. Rose students, and I parked where I didn't belong and the Albany police had me towed, I also had unpaid parking tickets over 250 bucks worth. Well when I woke up and my car was missing I called the police and they gave me the news. I called Capital District Towing who had towed my car and they were great right from the very first call, they let me know the exact price up front and let me know about the tickets I owed and explained who I had to call and gave me the number. When I came in with all my receipts they quickly processed me and my paperwork and got me on my way. They did it all with a smile and very professionally. It started off as a bad day and these guys walked me right through the whole ordeal. Fantastic!

Bottom line....I got towed for an accident..they came. Driver was young and a bit of a know it all..honestly..rude..I got to enjoy a cigarette on my way to...too bad I don't smoke and was never asked if I minded either...never again. If I need a tow I'll pay the extra money for Dawson's in watervliet

These guys were great to deal with and their prices are good too. They were recommended to me by a friend who has used them in the past. Obviously if you are in need of a tow truck, you are probably not in the best of moods. I called them up, they were polite, professional and honest. They told me it would be 40 minutes before they could get out to me, I was in a rural part of Rensselaer Co on a rainy fall day when my truck broke down - they showed up exactly 40 minutes later, loaded up my diesel 1 ton pick-up quick but carefully. The driver had the same pick up and speculated as to what the problem might be and suggested a good shop to do the repair. I used to take it to the dealership but now that it’s out of warranty I’d rather support a local shop. On a side note, the driver was spot on with his diagnosis of the problem. I hope I don’t need a tow anytime soon but if I do, I will definitely be calling these guys again.

My Jeep broke down on Friday the 13th whlie heading home after a 13 hour day of work. Steam was pouring out from under my hood on a hot muggy day in rush hour. A State trooper called CDT and Pete Cary showed up within 10 minutes. My excetations were exceeded; which is part of thier mission statment. The Jeep was loaded on the flat bed, I was safe inside from on comming traffic, and headed to a repair shop in Saratoga. This all happened in a 1 hour time frame. I payed a reasonable tow rate and was drinking a cold beer , at home, in air conditioning on this extreeley hot muggy day. CDT was cost efficient, friendly, and professional. This could have been a real crappy day but the State Trooper called CDT, when my Jeep broke down, and I am glad they did. I recommend to call CDT when ever you breakdown or need a tow. Put their phone number in your cell phone: 518-533-9623. I already did.

My car got totaled and CDT came and got my car, while it was waiting to be appraised my GPS and other items went missing. It was awesome, first I lose my car then I get my stuff stolen.

Ran out of gas this morning.....could not believe they showed up in less than 20 minutes and did not break the bank with their charge. Leslie M

I just used Capital District Towing to tow my car, the tow driver was great-professional and very knowledgeable! They gave me the best price I could find after calling around, and I got such amazing service, they took care of my car, and relieved some of my fears. I will be referring them to anyone that needs a tow in the near future. What a relief in the midst of a stressful situation

12-9-08 My car died on Madison Ave, Albany. I coasted into a bus stop. It was 9AM and 12 degrees out. I called Dot's garage: they said 30 min. 1 hour later no show and no call back to my cell. I called them and they said their truck had a flat and can't get there for 2 hours. Said I should call someone else. I was freezing by now as car didn't run so no heat. I think it was called Kruger towing: They said we will be there shortly. 1 hour later no show, no call. I called and they said we can't get there! 3rd tow company was Capitaland in Albany. They said 20 mins. 1 hour later no show or no call. just as I was calling to ask where the hell are you? a tow truck pulled up and said they were called by Capitaland to take the job. 3 tow companies later, 3 hours later, 12 degrees later Capital District Towing showed up to save the day. Don't ever call those other 3 jerks. Capital District Towing gets my future business and referrals. Driver was a gentleman, very courteous and after he dropped my car off at my repair shop which was 10 miles away I was able to get a ride back to town with him and he even dropped me back off a few blocks from my house. I'm no relation to anyone with this tow company, but with the weather at 12 degrees that morning those other 3 clowns cared less about my safety. Not even the courtesy of call back after an hour wait for each one at 12 degrees and no show. ALL THREE OF THEM are useless. Capital District Towing is the "only" tow company to use after my experience.

It was terrible to find out the car doesn't start, but Capital District Towing has great service. He came quickly, treated with extra care, and it was so helpful!
