Called them to repair my washer. He seemed nice and said $29.95 for the service call. Chuck showed up late with his van full of junk. Acted like he did something to my washer and charged me $169.75. when I got home from work, there was a foot of water in the washer and the drum still did not turn. I called CHUCK and the clown claimed that the washer worked fine when he left 2 hrs earlier... THAT'S SOME SCARY HOCUS POCUS!
He's such a great guy that he's going to refund $85 and now I'm out $85 and still don't have a working wash machine...

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AND SHARE THIS INFO!

Do not use this company. They told me the would be at my house at 1:30 to fix my refrigerator. I called them at 2:30 and Mr Chuck told me the repair man had a full overhaul and would be there between 4:30 and 5:30. No show, no call back and no answer the phone. On Monday morning I was desperate to get the frig fixed so I asked Mr Chuck if I was first on the list today. He said the repair man would be there at 10:00. The repair man showed up and open and closed the refrig door then said he had to go back to the shop and get a meter and would be back in an hour. An hour and half later my husband called and asked when the repairman would be back and Mr Chuck said he is looking for the meter and will call and set up an appt. My husband was mad they didn't show up Sat. now we have to make another appt. My husband is hard of hearing and said what. And Mr. Chuck said are you and IDIOT. OMG I can't believe we went this with this scammer. He told me on Sat. the service charge was $29.00 and when he got here he said it was $49.00. We wasted two day on this CON ARTIST one thing I can say is he didn't get a penny from us, but he was fix-in to.

CHARLES (OR CHUCK AS HE SIGNS HIS NAME), WAS A NO SHOW TWO DAYS AND THEN WHEN HE FINALLY SHOWED, I WAS OUT BUT OUR NANNY WAS HOME. WITHOUT CALLING ME OR MY HUSBAND HE PROCEEDED TO GET OUT HIS RECORD OF AN OLD CREDIT CARD AND CHARGED IT WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION. WE HAD MONEY FOR THE SERVICE CALL SET ASIDE BUT OUR NANNY DIDN'T KNOW I ASSUMED HE WOULD CALL IF I HADN'T MADE IT HOME.

I CALLED THIS MORNING AND HE ASSURED ME THAT "OF COURSE, [HE] SPOKE TO MY HUSBAND AND GOT AUTHORIZATION" WHICH WAS AN OUTRIGHT LIE. HE HAS WORKED FOR US BEFORE AND I HAVE ALWAYS HAD TO KEEP A VERY CLOSE EYE ON HIM - THE ONLY REASON THAT HE HAS COME BACK WAS I HADN'T THE TIME TO FIND SOMEONE ELSE - I AM MAKING THE TIME NOW AND REPORTING HIM.

Please be very aware of the owner of STARZ Thrifty Appliance Repair. His name is Charles Vignone and he answers the business telephone idintifying himself as a "dispatcher" with zero knowledge of how much a rapair may cost, however is is the actual technician performing the repair(s).



He attempted to charge me $149 to replace a lid-switch on my washing machine that took 7 minutes and required a part the cost $10-$15. After I questioned the high price, he took off the tax, then he took off $15, then another $10. He also encouraged me to leave him alone to work, and that he'd call for me when he finished. This was clearly to keep me from seeing just how simple the repair was. He also stated that he had no idea what the necessary part costs, even though I found it online in seconds.



After finally conceding and writing him a check, he INSISTED that the check be made payable to him (personally). I asked several times why the check should be made payable to him, and not a business. He was VERY elusive and gave me the run-around with nonsense answers.



I finally paid him $113 to end the ordeal, but not before realizing that he was a bit "creative'" in his business practices.



Once he learned that I was born outisde USA, he also made it clear that he had a very negative opinion of America (he's French Canadian).



I strongly discourage doing any business with him/this company.

They, Thrifty Budget Refrigerator repair, were here yesterday and saved the show for me! I have a SubZero Bottom Freezer/Refrigerator and it just quit on me. Well at first I made sure it was plugged in and it was, so I did not know what to do, kinda helpless feeling. I called The office at Thrifty Budget, told them I was a senior citizen and Holy Toledo!, they had a technician for me that early afternoon and he had my SubZero fixed in a jiffy!! And He wore a tie! WOW!!!

We just moved here from Cleveland, set up our Home and went to Ralph's to stock up our Refrigerator. We left our Kenmore gas dryer on to finish a load. When we got home the poor thing sounded like it was dying. We saw Thrifty Budget Appliance Repair on the internet and called them and told them what happened. They sent over a technician ASAP, with a tie no less, and he fixed the movers damage. Dryer works and sounds "better than new" as he put it and Thrifty Reasonable To!!Thumbs Up for Thrifty Budget Dryer Repair.

I went shopping at Ralphs to stock the Refrierator and Freezer for a big Family reunion. No sooner had we loaded up our SubZero model 632 Side by Side did it quit working. My Wife called her close friend who Highly suggested Thrifty Budget Refrigerator Repair Service, and so we called them and explained our plight. They were courteous and sent out a SubZero Tech, who wore a tie! Yowie!, and He repaired it "Better Than New".
